OSPAP IN UK
OSPAP (Overseas Pharmacists Assessment Programme) is a program in the UK designed for overseas pharmacists who wish to practice in the UK. The program is conducted by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), which is the regulatory body for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the UK.
The OSPAP program consists of two parts. The first part is an online course that covers the UK pharmacy system and is designed to help overseas pharmacists adapt to the UK practice. The second part is an assessment that consists of two components – a written exam and a practical exam. The written exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, and the practical exam is designed to assess the practical skills and knowledge of the pharmacist.
Once a pharmacist successfully completes the OSPAP program, they can apply to the GPhC to register as a pharmacist and begin practicing in the UK. However, it is important to note that registration requirements may vary depending on the country of origin and the individual’s qualifications and experience.
Overall, the OSPAP program provides an opportunity for overseas pharmacists to demonstrate their skills and knowledge, and to meet the requirements for practicing pharmacy in the UK.
